Heart Rate

Finding your target heart rate and working towards that number of heart beats per minute during physical activity is a great way to track your progress. Use this formula to figure out your maximum heart rate:
220 - Age X % of intensity = Beats per Minute
For example:
220 – 40 years = 180
180 x 80% = 144 Beats per Minute
A good goal is to work between 50%-80% maximum heart rate.
